Are you being deceived by the modern church?

As we examine a couple of scriptures, the first is in 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 "And with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." This is a warning to those who think that they can lived a double life, yet this what the modern gospel is that you can live in sin and that God is not going to judge you. Let us examine what Romans 1:24-25 says "Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever." Wow this is about judgment upon those who believed The Lie and worshiped Satan instead of God. This is the same lie that Satan used on eve in Genesis, that if you sin you will not died. Most people will say that Eve did not die at that point but in reality she die spiritually. This is what being taught by these ungodly men in your pulpits and you have no idea what they are telling you. Many are telling you that grace is covering these sins in your life or that God is loving and kind and he would not do something like that to me. Note you are responsible to get right with God and if you choose to continue to live in sin than it is your fault not God's. Do you understand, the gospel today is not the Truth. They are claiming by this false gospel to be saving people in their sins. Note Jesus did not teach this , He taught you must go through a baptism of repentance, this is not some short sinner prayer, which is a lie. It is a season of Godly sorrow which is explain in 2 Corinthians 7:9-11 and the story of Jonah chapter 3. Many people who claim to be Christians say that they have accepted Jesus in their hearts or that they go to church and are faithful. But the truth is anyone can do these things and yet have no faith at all. Just because we acknowledge that Christ died on the cross, He arose, and was resurrected doesn't mean we believe in Him. What we are talking about here is that we can fool ourselves in thinking that we have faith, but this is just acknowledging that something happen in history. The faith that saves man is his willingness to be obedient to scripture and to do them and this means that we must die to ourselves each day and pick up the cross. And this is not being taught in the pulpits today at all. Christ is our example by what he did when He was on the earth.

Justification by Faith Alone

Is this what the Bible teaches about justification that it is by Faith alone? I thought that was true when I was in the Church system but now I realize that I was wrong. Faith alone has to have a working principle behind it or it is a dead faith just like the demons believe that Jesus is the son of God but there is no change that takes place. For example Abraham does the works of faith that he was obedient and follow God. According to John MacArthur he speaks of a Forensic faith, it describes what God declares about the believer not what He does to change the believer, so it is window dressing. In fact, justification effects no actual changes whatsoever in the sinners nature or character. All it does is changes our status. A good summation is that we are positional righteous, but practical we are unrighteous.    What does the Bible say about this? According to Romans chapter 5:1 says "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."  In 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."  Another characteristic of justification,  "to those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires" from Galatians 5:24. The fourth example of justification that we are made acceptable in the Beloved from Ephesians 6:1.
What these men who teach justification in this manner by "Faith Alone" do not include the deeds of faith which demonstrate that you are a new creature. According to the writers of the New Testament, faith always meant that there were works together with faith, they never understood any other way. For example, we can take marriage to a young man and woman if this man truly loves his wife he will demonstrate in many different ways in how he expresses his love for her. Even they can look back when they were dating and see examples of his love for her, and when they became engage the man would continue to show his affection toward her, by writing notes or repairing something that has value in her eyes. Note it is the way as believers that we being the bride of Christ that we show our affection to Christ by digging into His word, or staying pure and not falling into sin. But according to John MacArthur we do not have to show our love (commitment) toward Christ, because He does everything for us and He does not see us sin. All of life is demonstrated by our willingness to be committed to getting a education to do something with our lives. So why should God do everything for us, because then we would be spoiled and there would be no commitment from us to be righteous. These men are just like the Pharisees they are addicted to their doctrines but they can not see the Truth that we must follow Christ because He was an example to us all. Are you like the Pharisees?

Grace what does it mean?

This is a interesting verse, let us examine and see what it is saying. "For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and Lord Jesus Christ." This verse is explaining what is taking place today in the churches, what do I mean by this. These men are ungodly and they will be judge by God in the future because they have twisted grace, that is they have given a wrong meaning of grace by saying unmerited favor, mercy, and pardon. With this meaning they have taught that grace means that God overlooks man's sin which is the farthest thing from the truth. Or others have said that it is "God riches at Christ's expense." And yet in our hearts we think that God is lowering His righteousness because we are not able to achieve His standard. But this is quite the opposite let us look at Titus 2:11-14 "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people zealous for good works." Do you understand the principle of grace it is not mercy or pardon but it is teaching us that those who have gone through a baptism of repentance it is teaching us not to sin. This is a far cry of God overlooking our sin but He is teaching us to attain to His standard.

James 4:7-10 The Deeds of Repentance

Today Gospel has nothing to do with the true gospel that was preached by the disciples in the early church. In fact what they proclaim by some type of sinners prayer in their services is not in the Bible, it was introduce in the second great awakening by men like Charles Finley, D.L.Moody, and later by Billy Sunday; Charles Finley introduce this in his services in upstate New York plus the anxious bench to put pressure upon the individual to get right with God. Charles Finley used pragmatic ways to bring people to the Lord, but it was not according to scripture. We also know when he came back to this area later in his life there were few who were doers of the Word if any. He thought that he had discover how to preach in a way that he could manipulate his audience to come to Christ, but he was deceive and he deceive others just like your pastor who said to do a sinner's prayer. We also have another gentlemen named Billy Sunday who claimed that he could saved a soul for a dollar. But yet these man did not lead men to salvation, because they did not preach a baptism of repentance which is spoken of in the Bible in four different places(Mark 1:4, Luke 3:3, Acts 13:24, Acts 19:4). Let us read John 1:4, "John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins." In Luke 3:3 "And he went into all of the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.' In Acts 13:24, After John had first preached, before His coming, the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel." And finally from Acts 19:4, "Then Paul said, John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is on Christ Jesus."
Note the attitude change that is spoken of in James by these words "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands you sinners and purify your hearts, you double minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." With this we see that it is possible for us to come to Christ but it must be with a right attitude because God is looking upon our hearts, and He knows if we are coming to God in right manner. If our hearts are not right, God is not mocked. Then he speaks of you hands which are instruments of your heart as you steal from one another and do all kinds things to bring harm to each other. He says you must purify your hearts, you must weep not as the world, but a Godly sorrow, a recognition that you have sinned against a Holy God and that you are worthy of death and Hell. Most people never get past this because their pride will not let them admit that they have a problem with sin. Today people believe that God will cut them some slack that they really did not mean to sin, that is a lie, that you can get in the kingdom under the wire or that He(God) does not see you sin. Pastors will not made it hard for you because they did not come to the Truth themselves, they just preach what they have learned in seminary which is nothing but cheap grace. The doctrines that they teach is tradition that has been handed down since Augustine who introduce original sin, predestination, destroy free will, and deeds that demonstrate that you are a believer. Just what the Pharisees taught in Christ's time they brought down their traditions which had nothing to do with salvation. Seek the Truth before it is too late.

Satan is the father of lies

As I was thinking it has occur to me that everything we are taught since we were born has been a lie, think about it. Here are some examples: one being that the drugs that you take are going to help you feel better but in reality you are dealing with the symptoms of what is ailing you but not the root problem. We are told that we live in a free country and are able to exercise our rights but yet if we want to build something on our property we must have some government official to give approval plus pay some type of fee in order to build something. And then we are told that the Church will tell you the truth about how to get right with God yet there are half truths and that the minsters are not concern about the sheep as a shepherd but are there to make money or to better position themselves to another job that will allow them to be more important or move up the corporate (church) ladder or to make more money. They tell you cute little stories that have nothing to do with salvation, they are telling you what you want to hear, that is you can continue in sin and yet be saved, this is false and will destroy your soul. The world we live in is under the domain of Satan and he is known in the Bible as the father of lies, this explains why there is no truth in this world. But Christ stated that He is the Truth, which is revolutionary because there has never been anyone else in history to make that claim except Him, but more important is that we as human beings should long for or pursue that Truth because it is the only thing that makes us complete and satisfy because He(God) was our creator. As creatures we know no better but the one who make us would know. The whole point is Christ is the Truth there is no life without Him, except lies that will condemn us to Hell(everlasting damnation). We are told that particular mate (woman or man) will make us complete when it reality it doesn't, we are disappointed with life because it does not satisfy our souls. Remember the story of the woman at the well in Samaria in John chapter 4:7-26, remember her thoughts as she marvel that Jesus would provide water that would take care of her thirst so that she would not have to come to the well to draw water. And Christ is speaking of living(spiritual) water that would refresh your soul and give you life because He knew men and their souls have a longing that needs to be satisfy and man is in pursue of it in the wrong places. God knows what best for us if we would listen and do what His Word says and we would seek Him out.

The issue of Adam and Eve

It is hard for me to understand why so many people believe in Original Sin. Again let us look at what happen after the fall of Adam in Genesis. Let us look at Genesis Chapter 3 starting with verse 10; "So he said, "I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself." And then God replies, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?"  Obviously, with Adam we sense that there is guilt because he hid himself from God before this there was no sense of guilt in fact there was communion in the garden with himself and God. At verse 12, Adam states that it is the woman you gave me and I ate of the fruit of the tree again we see the example of not taking responsibility for his actions, which has plague man every since. Let us continue on as the woman blames the serpent who has deceived her, as we look at verse 16 God addresses Eve and then pronounces judgment upon her, "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you." And then we see that God pronounces judgment upon Adam, "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."  In verse 22, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat and live forever--- therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way to the tree of life."
As we look at these judgments we see that God has not pronounce that Adam has no free will or that his children are going to be born in sin. We do know that Adam and Eve died spiritually when they disobey God by eating of the tree of good and evil, but they did not die at that moment physically because they had sinned. We see in Genesis that there are examples of men who had the freedom to obey or disobey God. In Genesis 4:6-7 we see the example of Cain as he murdered his brother Abel, but these verses gives evidence that man is free to do right or wrong "So the Lord said to Cain, Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."  There are those today that preach that you are born a sinner and you are not able to stop sinning and yet there are two more examples in the next few chapters that give illustration of the excuse that the preachers give. In Genesis chapter 5:21  "Enoch lived sixty five years and begot Methuselah, After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God and he was not, for God took him."  Interesting that he was able to obey God to the point that God took him home because he was righteous, even thought the preachers today deny that you are able to obey God. Let us go a little further in Genesis chapter 6:7-9, "So the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. this is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God." There are other examples in scripture of men and women who were faithful but there is no excuse of original sin. These so called men of God are deceiving you and telling you are not able to do what is right. In 2 Peter 2:1-3 speaks of false teachers that would come from within the believers that they would secretly introduce heresies, and others will follow after them and the way will be maligned. This is what has happen since Augustine introduce his gnostic teachings that have destroy the true church of God.

Christ is not our righteousness

I was talking to someone the other day in a store about that we must be righteous, we are responsible for our actions and she said to me that Christ is our righteousness and I say no He is not because the Bible speaks of us to be obedient to His commandments. Note we will be judge in the end by our righteousness not someone else righteousness. Many people in the church have been taught that Jesus is our righteousness which is a lie, there are no scriptures that say Christ is your righteousness. But there are verses in scripture that Christ is our example, here are a few. In 1 Corinthians 11:1 as Paul says "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ", I John 3:7 "Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He (Christ) is righteous". A couple more verses this one is from, 1 Peter 1:22 "Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart." 1Peter 2:21 quote saying "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps." In John13:15 In Christ words "For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." Do you understand that Christ is not your righteousness, but He is our example to follow, He does not do it for you, you are responsible for your own spiritual soul. Have you gone through a baptism of repentance if not you are not His sheep. Be warn in Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My father in heaven. Many(Professed Christians they were only hearers not doers) will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied (preaching) in Your name, cast out demons in Your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"  This sure scare you unless your conscience has been seared by these false teachers.

Quotes from the early church fathers Doctrine of Free Will

"Therefore, the prophets used to exhort men to what was good, to act justly and to work righteousness... because it is in our power to do so." Irenaeus c180AD

"Sin, then, is voluntary on my part." Clement of Alexandria c 195AD

"Now, it is in our power... to philosophize or not, to believe or disbelieve. So then, we are equally masters of each of the opposites. So what depends on us is found possible." Clement of Alexandria  c 195AD

"God has created us naturally social and just." Clement of Alexandria c. 195

"Entire freedom of will, therefore, was conferred upon man in both tendencies. So that, as master of himself, he might constantly encounter good by spontaneously observance of it, and evil by its spontaneous avoidance ... But the recompense for good and evil could not be given to the man who is found to have been either good or evil through necessity, and not choice." Tertullian c. 207AD

"Now who is so faultless among men, that God could always have him in His choice, and never be able to reject him? On the other hand, who is so void of any good work, that God could reject him forever, and never be able to choose him? Show me, then, the man who is always good, and he will not be rejected. Show me, to, him is always evil, and he will never be chosen." Tertullian c. 207AD

Note from these quotes there is no hint of being born in sin another words there are no excuses for you to tell God that it was not your fault. Get right with God because you have the ability to do so yet you are not willing to do what is right. Why do I quote from the church fathers because they were the ones who knew the disciples and were trained by the likes of James, John, and Paul; it has been close to 2000 years ago since Christ died. Logic tells you that the Truth should be accurate at this point(what has happen in their time frame) and those who were disciples of Peter, James, and John; who were disciples of Christ.
